IWW Members' Publishing Successes

Last week saw IWW members scoring big with publications. Please join me in congratulating the following for their successes:

Judith Welpman (writing as Christina Cole)

I just got word from Secret Cravings Publishing that the release date for my historical romance, Happily Ever After, has been moved up from April 2013 to early January. I'm excited.

Virginia Winters

My short story, “The Decision,” has been awarded first prize in the Sentinal Literary Quarterly Poetry and Short Story competition. So excited to win an international competition. “The Decision,” was submitted here as DNA and received very helpful critiques. Thanks to all.

Wayne Scheer

The present issue of Foliate Oak includes my flash story, “Telephoning God,” as well as a nonfiction rant, “It's a Generational Thing.” http://foliateoak.weebly.com/
My story, “The Long Drive Home,” has been accepted at Fiction 365 for a future issue.

Clever Magazine has accepted, “A Bad Movie,” for their, “What Next?” issue due out in December.  If you have stories, poems, essays, rants dealing with the theme of “What Next?” the editor accepts a mixed bag of writing, and she seems like a nice woman.

Roger Poppen

My short story, “Jesus or Juju,” won first place in the Royal Palm Literary Awards, sponsored by the Florida Writers Association. The story was critiqued on the Fiction list a couple years ago, so thanks to those folks who provided feedback. It has been published in Amarillo Bay: http://www.amarillobay.org/contents/poppen-roger/jesus-juju.htm

William Bartlett

My monthly column for November is available at http://KCParent.com under the title, “Shhh, Mom's Sleeping. “ It's also available in print in KC Parent magazine.

Silvia Villalobos

My short story, “Affair of the Heart,” has been accepted by Fiction365. They will follow up with the exact publication date (right now that's about two months). Thank you to all my IWW friends for their help with this piece. What a wonderful way to start the week!
