My historical romance, Summertime, set in rural Kansas, will be released by Secret Cravings Publishing in August. It will release first as an ebook with print release to follow. Happily Ever After, also from Secret Cravings/Sweet Cravings Publishing, is now available in paperback.

Thanks to all the Lovestory “critters” whose comments and suggestions helped shape both of these stories.

Sleet Magazine just accepted my flash, “I’m Getting My Revolver.” Thanks to everybody at Fiction who helped me make it ready for prime time. The story will be published in October 2013, at the latest.

My attempt at bad writing, (intentional this time), “Creative Writing 101: Using Figurative Language,” is up at The Yellow HamHam is one of the few humor sites on the net.  My story is in their Hoots section.

Francene Stanley

I've signed the contract with Double Dragon Publishing for the fifth book in the Higher Ground series. Seaweed Ribbons will be published early in 2014. Edith Parzefall and I wrote the first four together, I went on to write Seaweed Ribbons alone, with her approval. Thanks to members of the Novels-L group who helped me make the writing and the plot the best it could be.

My flash piece, “The Janitor,” originally subbed as a practice exercise, has been accepted for publication in the June issue of Toasted Cheese.
