2 reviews at Gumshoe Review:

Eat Crow and Die by Maris Soule, will be in August Gumshoe Review. It's a great read featuring seventy something former assassin Mary Harrington, who fights a gang of teenage punks and wins. Good cozy mystery set in Michigan. The 2nd review is for A Killer Past by Maris Soule.

Love's Alchemy by Brian Crockett, is a period mystery featuring John Donne, Lord Cecil, and Catholic plots against King James.

So my story, “Social Studies,” has been shortlisted for a short story prize. I really want to thank all of you who gave your critiques, contributions and commendations. They saved my story and put it up there. Thank you so much.

My June column is up at KCParent.com in the Word from Dad feature. This month, it's entitled 'What Does Dad Know' and it's also available in print in KC Parent magazine.

Most kids have only one Dad.  I was lucky enough to have two and I miss them both.
