My review of "Death in the Devil's Range" has been published at Underground Book Reviews. Sadly, this will be my last review at UBR since the site is closing its virtual doors in November. The site focused strictly on indy-published books (self-published or small/indy-press published), and they paid reviewers but didn't charge authors.

UBR also had a pretty thorough vetting process to ensure that, even though these were all indy-published books, they should and would be held to the same quality standards as traditionally published books. I am quite proud to have been a reviewer for them since 2012.

"A Gift of Fish Heads" - my twelfth published story this year - is now online at Sky Island Journal. I wrote it at least a decade ago but completely reworked it over the summer with some help and encouragement from Paul Pekin, Pauline Micciche, Frank Zielony & Charles Chettiar.

It was chosen from a pile of 1358 other submissions. The folks at Sky Island Journal were great to work with and very encouraging. They're now accepting submissions for issue #7.
