IWW Members' Publishing Successes For The Week Ending 2/26/23

Amita Basu

My short story “The Why and the How” (3,000 words) was republished in the winter 2023 edition of Mean Pepper Vine.

Fairfield Scribes published my microstory "DIY" in Issue 25, and "Afterwards" in Issue 26.

My short story "Night," which was published in a 3,800 version in The Dalhousie Review last summer, was republished in its original 6,000-word version in The Chamber Magazine.

My short stories Courage Anniversary and Re:Birth were republished in Caustic Frolic in January 2023.

My speculative flash story "Revolutionaries" (1k) was published in Bewildering Stories.

My microstory “Walking” (300 words) was accepted for publication in the Open Journal of Arts and Letters (OJAL).

All these pieces were submitted to and critiqued on Fiction. Thank you to everyone who read at any stage!

As requested, I provided a flash fiction site, Vancouver Flash Fiction, with a writing tip. I found out that they've featured my book and included a link to an interview done with me a couple of years ago at Writing Forums. What a nice surprise this is!

It all looks so great. They'll publish my tip (on defamiliarization) in a few days. I was excited, so I told my editor, who in turn told me his publication is working on a video trailer for my book and they'll use one of their voice actors to read one of my stories. Now I have to choose the story I'd like read.
