IWW Members' Publishing Successes For The Week Ending 12/31/23

I got to interview Peter Conners, editor of PP/FF (prose poetry/ flash fiction), as part of the Master's Series at OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters. The Facebook interview is live on that site. The complete chapbook project, which includes my interview, six stories by Peter Conners, and a craft essay by Conners, is available as a PDF.
Be sure to check it out. It's free and highly educational. I like this project as a finish to 2023. I look forward to 2024!

FiveMinuteLit accepted my 100-word story "In Two Minds" for publication. They pay $120, and offer authors of all accepted pieces the opportunity to be a reader at their magazine for a month. "In Two Minds" was workshopped on Fiction. Thank you to everyone who critiqued the piece.
My microstory "Displacement," also critiqued here, has been published in the Editors' Corner of Fairfield Scribes, Issue 36.
My flash story "The Ants Are Thirsty" has been published in Rappahannock Review, along with my interview on this piece.
My flash story "Streetlamp" has been published by Bending Genres.
I've started another editorial gig at Mean Pepper Vine, an Indian lit mag who've previously published two of my pieces, and one of whose editors I met this month at the Bangalore Literature Festival.
My short story "The Last Day of Freedom" was voted one of the best pieces published in Bewildering Stories in 2024. I've been a member of the Review Board at Bewildering Stories this year, and it's been a pleasure and a challenge reading and rating pieces in the weekly issues.
