Harry's Mum Tours the USA

  • LOS ANGELES - J.K. Rowling made a rare U.S. appearance, reading at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood in front of scores of wand-clutching would-be wizards and witches. Seated on a gold throne with plush red cushions, Rowling read Monday from the seventh and final of her novels on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

News from Rowling's publisher ...

  • J.K. Rowling will be doing four events - one public event and three school events: one in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theater on Monday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m.; one in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Auditorium on Thursday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m.; and two in New York City at Carnegie Hall on Friday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets will not be sold for this event; the schools attending the daytime events will be selected by the public school system in each city; the evening event in New York is ticketed by sweepstakes only. The sweepstakes information is available on this page.
