'Tis the night before Christmas--but a few mice are still stirring! Not
a lot this week, but the triumphs still come in. Here they are:

My third book, Tennis Confidential II: More Greatest Players,
Matches, and Controversies, will be published by Potomac Books,
Inc. (formerly Brassey's, Inc.) in March, 2008. Leading TV tennis
analyst Mary Carillo wrote the Foreword.
My first book, Tennis Confidential: Greatest Players, Matches, and
Controversies, was published by Brassey's, Inc., in 2002 and was
listed No. 1 among tennis books by Amazon.com and BN.com. Nine
of the pieces in it received writing awards. My second book, You
Can Quote Me on That: Greatest Tennis Quips, Insights, and
Zingers, was published by Potomac Books, Inc., in 2005 and was
listed No. 1 among tennis books by Amazon.com and BN.com.

My haibun, "Beauty, Courage Too," a kind of prose poem that
winds up with a kind of haiku, is, along with some wonder works
from others, up at Seven Beats/Here and Now.
You'll have to scroll down a bit, past the Olmec head, past the
charming poem about the editor's dog Reba, past some work by
people you've never heard of and might want to, to mine. Hope
you like it. Hawaii has given me so much to write about.
Felicitations of the season to all and may your muses be happy and
cooperative in 2008.

Here is a very short article yahoo, but I think that NFICTIONers
critted it: "No Child Left Inside," OnEarth Magazine, Winter 2008.

One of my poems appears in the latest issue of All Rights Reserved:
A Literary Journal, a perfect bound publication of approximately 90
plus pages.
Published twice a year in Nova Scotia, Canada, the journal accepts
fiction (including short one-page pieces), creative non-fiction and
poetry.
Submissions are by e-mail and are invited from writers worldwide.
Each issue is themed, broadly and creatively interpreted. Please
refer to the website for 2008 themes and submission dates.
Give them a go.

My story, 'Christmas at Aunt Betty's,' is up at The Painted Door.
I am pleased to join Wayne, Joanna, and others in this holiday
issue. Warmest greetings of the season to you all.

A recent Practice assignment has been accepted by Long Story Short
for their February issue.
The suggestions offered by the members of Practice were valuable in
turning this exercise into a marketable piece.
Thank you all, admins and members.

Two poems in the Winter edition of Tower Poetry.
The first one (first in the issue, too), "January View," was in
response to the Poetry list's challenge! And the second (last in the
issue), "Goodbye dance," was also critted on the Poetry list. Many
thanks indeed to you all!
I just discovered that these four poems had been published at Raven
Poetry Online. Take a look - and again many thanks to the Poetry
workshop.
