IWW Members' Publishing Successes

Late again--the elves are after me! But we have a mighty fine collection of triumphs for last week.

Dehanna Bailee

Just thought I would send a quick note to let everyone know that my newest novel, "Calypso's Revenge: A Traitor's Heart" has just been released and is now available at Fictionwise (and that the print and Kindle versions should be out early January 2009).

For those who might remember, part of this was sent thru for input on Novels-L last fall/winter.

For more title info, look here.

Mark Budman

My novel is reviewed in SF Chronicle, and also in the Washington Post. That's in addition to a review in the 12/8 issue of People Magazine.

Alan Girling

Three of my poems, "The Purple People," "After School," and "Baljit invites Carl Jung on a bike ride" are now appearing in the Winter issue of the excellent ken*again. Thanks to the members of the Poetry list who helped me with these, and I'm happy this time to be in the company of Joanna Weston and Wayne Scheer.

Dawn Goldsmith

I had never aspired to be a pinup -- but my short essay and photo are included in the 2009 Byline calendar at Funds for Writers. That's a new kind of yahoo for me.

I think you can see the calendars at the above address -- or order if you are so inclined. :) When I'm famous, you'll wish you had.... LOL! A fun yahoo.

Lynne Hinkey

Yahoo! My first Internet Review of Books review --The Other Half, by Tom Buk-Swienty--is up.

Thanks everyone at IRB!

Rebeca Schiller

Well, I got the best Christmas present. An article I wrote about senior pets appeared in December/January The Pet Gazette, a regional magazine with editions in New York City, Long Isalnd, Westchester, and Fairfield CT. The piece was 1,200 words long with two sidebars. And the best part: I got paid! This is my very FIRST PAID article.

I have another assignment from editor, which will be out in the February/March issue.

Wayne Scheer

My story "A Normal Life" is in the current issue of Ken*Again. Congratulations also to Alan Girling and Joanna Weston.

The editor at Drunk and Lonely Men is fast. He just put up Issue 7, which includes another depressing flash of mine, "The Red Wheelbarrow," I suppose it's only fair for me to thank William Carlos Williams for this one.

Thanks.
