My story "Escape" will be published in Everyday Fiction. (No publication date has been given yet.) Everyday Fiction is a good publication for us. They accept all genres, 1000 words or less, and pay $3.00.

What I like best about them is they give feedback on stories rejected and accepted. Each story is read by two, sometimes three readers, so you get a variety of opinions. They also offer the chance to revise some stories while making useful editorial suggestions.

They had originally asked me to revise "Escape," sharing what they liked about the story and what needed work. They were right. I added about two hundred words. and resubmitted it. They accepted the story the next day.

Thanks to Practice for inspiring this one.

Another acceptance just came in. My flash piece, "Being a Man," was accepted at Fewer Than 500 and will be published May 6. This is another story that began at Practice, so thanks to them.
