IWW Members' Publishing Successes For The Week Ending 1/15/23

Rasmenia Massoud

A story I wrote back in 2019, Half Past Regret, has been published by Idle Ink. Thank you as always to my fellow pen wielders in the fiction group who helped me iron this one out way back then, though the group roster might've changed a bit over the past few years.

The story takes place on Christmas Eve, but the themes are relevant all year long: shame, resentment... vomiting into plastic bags around the tree. I hope you all had a safe and happy new year.

I'm off to a nice start for 2023 publishing. My A Close Reading essay on Richard Plant's touching story, "Flatlands," has been published by OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters.

My poem, "Phony Women," is included in a state poetry society anthology. They'll be sending me my contributor's copy soon. (It's not available online.)

I'm also at the beginning of an interview with a highly accomplished and fascinating writer. I can't wait to see how this project turns out.
