My flash story "The Streetlamp Under the Teaktree" (500 words) was accepted for publication in Bending Genres, Issue #36, due out next month. BG doesn't pay.
My flash story "Holiday" (1,500 words) was republished in Bull Men's Fiction.
My short story "The City" (5,000 words) published in Bamboo Ridge 45th Anniversary Edition, is now available on their site. BR pays $50 per accepted piece, and hosts live and online readings of their books.
All these pieces were workshopped on Fiction, some in multiple rounds. Thank you to everyone who read and critiqued these pieces.

I just received the results of the annual poetry contest I like to enter and found that I won Three First Place prizes! I also won 2 Second Places and 2 Third places. My three first-place winners are The Butterfly, Bottle Trees, and Can't Kick the Bucket.
My two second-place winners are Blood Like the Fall and Cave in the Firelight. My two third-place winners are The Drought (a golden shovel) and Determination (the only nonet I've ever written).
In addition to the cash prizes, the organization also publishes an anthology of the winning poems. They will send me a free copy of that, too.
