I'm delighted that one of my poems won a Second Place prize ("A Dry Cry Comes") and three got Honorable Mentions in the National Federation of State Poetry Societies' annual contest. I've already received my anthology of the winning poems (it's gorgeous), my certificates, and my prize pay. The volunteer organization is well-organized and fast.

This seems to be my week! I just got a note from COOP Magazine that my prose poem, Gertrude Stein & A Socratic Wind Egg, will be published this summer. If you have chicken poems, prose poems or flash fiction about chickens, you might send your work to COOP Magazine.
