Simple pleasures can be found easily, but how often do we take the opportunity to absorb them in daily life? Write a scene conveying a feeling of complete joy to the reader. Your character might be lolling around cat-lazy on a Sunday morning, enjoying a refreshing beverage with co-workers after a difficult job has finally been completed, or watching a youngest daughter walk down the aisle. Share the character's pleasure with the readers, using senses to heighten the experience.
Exercise: In 400 words or less, write a scene in which the main character
experiences complete satisfaction, using senses to heighten the experience.
